Broadminded does not equal simple-minded.
To me, the idea of being broadminded indicates I am willing to look at things from different viewpoints and different perspectives. I think this is pretty much always a healthy, growing, learning experience.
The only scenario I can think of this being a bad thing would be if I would try to see things from, say, a serial killer's perspective. That's a place I don't think I need to go.

It depends on your definition of broadmindedness. Broadminded is good. It means you allow others to think or act as they choose without criticising them. It's about tolerance of faith, sexuality, race and basically freeing our minds from stereotypical thoughts. Generally, you can’t get cheated for being tolerant. If you do, don’t oversimplify. I mean just because someone with blue eyes ripped you off, it doesn’t mean all people with blue eyes are like that. Get it? So unless you know someone really because you’ve given them a chance, you can’t judge.

NO.NOT ALWAYS IT DEPENDS ON THE SITUTATION AND WHETHER IT IS IN A GOOD WAY OR A BAD WAY.
BUT BEING BROADMINDED IS VERY NECESSARY IN A COUNTRY LIKE INDIA WHERE THE PEOPLE ARE VERY ORTHDOX SO ITS VERY IMPORTANT 4 PEOPLE 2 BE BROADMINDED.BUT BEING OVER ALSO IS NOT GOOD SO WE SHOULD KNOW WHERE TO GIVE IT A STOP. WE SHOULD HAVE THAT ABILITY TO HAVE A CONTROL OVER OUR DECISIONS AND OUR THINKING AS WELL.
