Good evening Russell, thats a very interesting question, and I see its attracted answers from some of the great minds of our time.
I'm not sure I noticed the expression 'the gallops'?...
This is a more defined phrase similar to 'the runs' less widely used, but very self-explanatory..indeed I shouldn't wonder that this expression is,if I may say so, More informative then the tired old cliche 'the runs' as it suggests more urgency in the need to gallop and is more descriptive as it conveys a recognisable visual image of a young horse galloping happily through the meadows.
I agree with the other responses above..the 'squirts' quite a familiar expression, however I feel it indicates small amounts of squirting motions and does not bear adequate testament to the larger quantities of expelled faeces that many diarrhea sufferers experience.
I would list 'the skids', 'the plops' amongst the also rans (no pun intended).
Most of all I hope I've been of some assistance to you in your pursuits.

I can think of loads, from the runs and the squirts, but to name any of the others would result in my getting a violation, and I don't want one so early in my career!
