Cutting Edge,fast, urban, young, hip - New York
Multicultural, trendy, friendly, Romantic, Beautiful - Chicago
Crazy, Fun, Sun, sand and sex, Mental people - LA
Casinos - Vegas
Rednecks, churches, George Bush posters - Anywhere in Texas/Tennessee
European architecture, Beautiful, relaxed feeling - Boston
There you go, a quick guide to America, my money would be on Chicago. Very cool city.

The theuntutoredyouth is quite right, without knowing you, it is too difficult a task to pick just one US city to visit.
Your likes and dislikes, come into play.
But if I had to choose for myself I'd go to Washington DC.
The sense of power and wealth is awesome.
The buildings, the monuments, all those suited power-brokers.
And not too far from all this the poverty and despair of the unemployed and homeless.
Philadelphia is another city of historical importance and a (now) trendy place to visit.

Well, I think if you come to the USA to visit and say only one city is probably not possible... maybe one state in the US and that's got to be Texas. Of course Dallas Texas is great but once in Texas there is so much to do and see. Don't forget to float the Guadalupe River if your here in the warm months.

Probably what you want to do will influence your decision. I have been to Los Angeles & New York (Also Dallas briefly). If you like shopping New York is probably your best option. LA is interesting - you can visit Hollywood - yo might even get to see a moviestar !

If you want to get to know America, you really need to visit more than just one place. However, since you must visit just one place, I'd personally advise you to go to Chicago.

NYC with out a doubt. makes you love america everyone there is soo nice and only take YELLOW CABS or subway. HOT GUYS LIVE IN NYC and BEAUTIFUL girls. I saw the most intresting people in NYC and the BEST food any where!!

los angeles of course.... you will see and choose lots of interesting places here.... there is universal studios which will really amaze you, disneyland (which is somewhere in anaheim but still near in los angeles) that will make you realize that you still a have a kid in your grown up body , Knotts Berry Farm is also cool... and Hollywood itself... lots of beaches here too... for sure you will enjoy your stay here....

chicago!a lot of my friens have been there and they say that it's beautiful.....i think you colud also visit San Francisco,New york it depens on you tastes bye!
