I can't speak for Republicans, since I am not one. But, since they seem to hate Liberals so much, (and if they truly understood the real teachings of Jesus, they would understand that you are correct in your statement that Jesus was a liberal), then it only makes sense to assume that they really do hate Jesus and all he really did stand for!!!! The fact that they claim that they don't hate Jesus, and that they claim that Jesus could not have been a liberal...PROVES that they DO NOT understand his true message!!!!! This is a really great question!!!!

I know a lot of Republicans and all of them are deeply religious.

Jesus is not a Republican/Democrat/Liberal/Conservative. He's the lord, and he loves everybody deeply. So if anybody claims "Jesus is *this party*", they're full of it.

Why ask why?

You obviously have an opinion that Republicans hate Jesus. Just state your opinion. But please state your opinion on some other site because this site is for asking questions. The fact that you put the word "why" at the beginning of your sentence and a question mark at the end does not mean that you have truly asked a question. Here, for example, is an example of your kind of non-question:

Where in the heck do you get off claiming that millions of Americans hate Jesus?

Jesus was neither. He came to earh to save it from itself. Liberals believe in abortions. Jesus would not. Conservatives beleive in less social programs to aid the poor, hungry, sick. Jesus would not. He came to transcend politics inspite of it all, and loves liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans, equally.

"Greater is He that is in you, then He that is in the world."

There actions do make it look like it don't it? They hate the sick, the poor, the needy. They love to hate anyone they can gays, lesbians, Muslims, liberals, etc. They have politicized his church and brought corruption in it. They commit almost all the sins in the commandments. Worst of all they have given their actions the face of his. If this is love for Jesus, they should hate him.

Jesus was a prophet. Not a politician. Your comparison is a little dumb.
