"Anti-American comments like what is the most corrupt government in the world...etc.etc." - cynthiatw

What can be more American then questioning your own government? Can you spell Declaration of Independence? What you are saying is actually contradictory to what is at the core of democracy and the principles of this nation.

Those people you see marching on the street whether it be for immigration rights, anti-war protests, anti McDonald's, anti-Bush, etc are what is actually making this country great but people like yourself misinterpret and blatantly call them "anti-American"

The biggest criticizers of this nation are the only true patriots.

Comments like yours really dont annoy me but they worry me greatly.

Actually it is questions like this one which are merely designed to incite discourse. Apparently you cannot understand the insidious nature of political control. By keeping the masses focused on attacking each other it keeps them from noticing the real destruction which is occurring at the political level. It is okay to disagree politically, in fact I would say it is necessary for healthy democracy, but bashing and name calling are damaging and useless. People need to debate issues honestly and stop all the playground bs which passes for political discourse in places like Yahoo Answers.

DesignSTE: I don't have any problem with people having and expressing opinions. What I have a problem with is people attacking others for having counter opinions and expressing them. Free speech is a two way street and attacking each other is not the same as criticizing the government for it's actions. Get a grip? I am firmly rooted in reality.

well cory, it's all that bashing that is getting this country into more and more of a divide. republicans and democrats bat for the same team, big business and centerlized government. The comments that annoy me the most are the idiots on both sides who think they arn't being manipulated to argue over non issues while they the republicans and democrats laugh all the way to the bank.

The most stupid comment from both is: "The American people want......" or "The American people believe.......". As if any politician or non-politician knows what the American people want or believe. Like they have spoken to each and every one and knows exactly what we like, want, need.

The phrase is used to forward their own agenda.....

"Actually it is questions like this one which are merely designed"...
Oh please, get a grip.

My least favorites are over-the-top crap that is just for a reaction, but mostly tired talking points that they just heard someone else say and they just keep repeating it like the mindless freaks they are. Sort of like people who keep giving others lectures about the freedom of criticizing their government.

The ones where they repeat what they have heard from obviously biased media or partisian mouthpieces like they thought them up themselves...
