When I want to record a film to keep I am SO glad it's on BBC, no ads, but really the Beeb is S**T!!
They are forever changing the times of programmes and I'm forever missing stuff, that is when there actually IS stuff to see, which isn't that often!! Mostly it's repeats or sports or soap or tosh.
It's way past time the license fee was scrapped!

In a country of freedom and choice we are compelled to pay for BBC when we don't watch it because its a platform for government propaganda when the need arises. I do believe the head of the BBC is appointed by the government correct me if i'm wrong

My british friend tells me it is for the TV itself. I guess they actually license the tvs there, which is similar to what the US used to do with telephones, you actually used to rent the telephone from the phone company.
