Mercury electron configuration:

Energy levels: - (Electrons per shell)

Shell 1 ('K') =2.

Shell 2 ('L') = 8

Shell 3 ('M') = 18

Shell 4 ('N') = 32

Shell 5 ('O') = 18

Shell 6 ('P') = 2

(I'm only interested in the basics of atomic configuration - all these s, p, .. etc electron energy levels do nothing for me).
