I heard oil companies paid off an inventor that could have marketed a special carburetor that recycled the gas though it till it was all used, instead off letting fumes escape, netting a huge increase in miles per gallon.

Are we being duped? Are gas prices too high? Do you think the love of money is preventing people companies from helping make the world a better place?

Will practices of greed like this destroy our world?

If we got rid of money, would the world be a better place?

Funnily enough, I heard a similar story years ago. A guy had designed an engine which could run on water - something about splitting the Hydrogen atom to use for combustion and emitting the Oxygen atom (to make fluffy bunnies smile).

Similarly, the story went that he was paid off for his invention and that it was taken to a warehouse somewhere (picture final scene of Raiders of the Lost Arc) to sit with other environmental/energy saving inventions while the fat (oily) cats get fatter (and oilier).

Money is not destroying the world.

Cave men worked very hard to create a civilization that included money as a means of transferring wealth easily, so that goods could flow from those who had an excess of a certain commodity, to those that had a desire for it.

The only people who are being duped regarding money are those people who are being programmed to give their money up to people who rule, but never earned the money.

Totalitarianism destroys the world. Through force. Money is just like, well, a cave painting, to show what we've done. Not that big a deal unless you're a materialist. Like Marx and Engles.

Sorry. It makes the world go round, whether we like it or not.... but greed would still happen even if we were using seashells instead!
