It's hard to say for sure. This is an age where alliances can make much difference. The stakes are greater now than throughout the history of mankind because of the number of states that have nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. There are no easy answers to most issues that affects the world as a whole. It's obvious that war can't be the answer in every case. We are not using our influence as a diplomatic power. We won't even talk to nations we disagree with because of pre-set conditions that will never be met. Other countries don't trust us. They only respect & fear our military power. But, the US has proven we can't fight wars without an alliance of allies to support us. China, Russia, Iran, Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, even Iraq could turn their backs on us. If these nations banned together to attack our interests overseas, it would take the use of nuclear weapons to hold them back. Then there goes the ballgame.
Our economy is a global one. We are all interrelated with other countries, even China, India, Mexico, and the Middle East, in order to sustain our way of life. If we don't do a better job of using our diplomatic influence, we'll lose it all. Not all matters can be handled by the use of military invasions.
We won't be invaded unless by terrorism. WTC costs our economy $2 trillion. One or two more could bring us to bankruptcy, millions will lose their jobs, we could go into a depression again.
The route to recovery is through mutual respect, mutual acceptance, diplomacy, and a more disciplined approach as to when military action is necessary. If not, we'll lose more than just oil reserves from oil-producing countries. We'll lose the world's respect, and will be looked at with scorn.
I'll vote for the best qualified candidate--black, white, male, female, it doesn't matter what party. I'll vote mixed ticket. But for president/vice-president, I'm leaning Democratic.

I see our country being pretty high-tech. I pretty sure it will be ALOT different then it is now. I think there will be more good things happening like less killing and just all this bad stuff that we are always hearing about. But if the government does not become better at their jobs I think our country will still have alot of problems.
America does over power most of the world. But seriously we would not be anything without China most likely. Mostly everything people own in their house is from China. I don't think China could overtake America because first of all the poor countries come to Americans for everything. WE are the police to them and WE are the only ones that take the time to help them. But it would most likely be China.
No, I don't think it's true that our military could fight five different countries at one time and STILL be the strongest. My dad works for the ARMY and some of the people in the ARMY don't want to go fight at all. I mean we have been in this fight since a day before my 12th birthday on Sept 11. It's been almost 7 years since the fight has even started. Now we're fighting for no reason, I feel like this war will be going on even when I reach 20.
I don't really know who I would vote for. Plus I have another year before I even can. I can say that another Clinton in the house will kill us even more than Bush.

The U.S. will always remain # 1 as long as all of us vow to keep it that way....militarily that is.
In 100 years?? Wow, that's a ways ahead. Actually I see a very different America and what I see is too sad for words. I do think we could be overtaken if the political correctness issues are not straightened out. Way too many activists groups and the majority of this country's good and loyal will have been long forgotten.
No, I don't believe we can fight 5 different countries at one time. You are now getting into Armageddon...
If any country could still take us down, it would be a toss up of Russia or China or the combination of the two. Since we are a number # business outlet for imports from China...then I do feel they would always be rethinking their position. The gross total of US $$ missing out of their pockets would create a gigantic hole in their economy.
If we don't get some candidates I can take seriously, I haven't got a clue who I will vote for. I don't like any, on either side at this point. They ALL have skeletons.

I doubt very seriously if the United States is destined to last forever. History has shown us time and again that all great nations are destined to fall. We could be overtaken. If you look at China and India you will find they are emerging and can achieve Super Power status as time passes. It would be very difficult for any country to fight 5 wars at one time, no matter their military might and the United States military is not designed for large scale conflicts. This is because we have chosen a technological route rather than one based on manpower. Looking at the current military structure of the world no country could take us down without being largely destroyed themselves. This is because of the nuclear advantage enjoyed by the United States. I have not decided who I will vote for in the next election yet.

That is so cheating you have like five extra questions rolled up into just one.lol.Just joking.
1.I truly hope so,I mean would you really trust anyone else?
2.I really hope we are able to fix the major issues and moral collapse in our country.
3.I would not rule that out,but whomever were to invade should fear the people of this country more than the military. We Americans are truly some of the most resilient and prideful people in the world and we would totally step up to the plate to defend our freedom.
4.I am not sure about that one,but hey it is very reassuring if true, which I hope it is.
5.I am not really sure about that one, hopefully none. But I do believe we are a big if not the biggest threat to ourselves.
6.Well I cant vote yet,but if I could I would vote Republican.Which person I am not sure it is to early to say.

all good things come to an end. Rome had 500 yrs, we're only on 200ish so another hundred is not unprecedented. The US is not necessarily that large and with advances in technology other nations can grow, it almost seems that the us is actually trying to keep much of the world as oppressed and in the stone age as possible, grand schemes to maintain thier might?
we could just decline and a few generations could just be so rich and stupid that they forget how to do everything and our culture could be lost like the romans. no scientists or mechanics or few left working on odd patchworks with limited reasources.
depends which 5 countries, we could destroy the planet tonight 100x with nuclear and biological WMD's.
Chinas the next big contender, maybe some fictional falling out with the european union.
i don't vote.

China is an economically rising united states of america with huge skill and a good bigger industry. that's the perceived danger to the human beings. whilst China and the U. S. unfold out commerce avenues, usa had no concept that your united states of america had the generating applications it form of feels to have. This quickly impacted on American production via fact the chinese language could produce a product equivalent to or greater valuable than the human beings at a fragment of the fee. the end results of this .... outsourcing. Outsourcing potential the shortcoming of yankee jobs. Any talk of armament is barely a ruse. the actual subject lies in usa's advertisement inefficiency. Over seventy 5% of all customer products bought in North usa are synthetic in Asia with China being the chief via a strategies. A walk via Wal-Mart will substantiate this declare. you're amazing. it's time to downsize troops yet wait till the human beings do it first..... a word to the clever.

This situation might be changed in the future. I am pretty sure that the USA can maintain its super power status for a long period of time. The PR China, Russia, and the EU might challenge might be able to challenge American hyper power status, but they never be able to defeat the USA.

China is up and coming since the American capitalist supplied them with our American technology and resources. China also has the labor force that America can't compete with, and the 10 to1 population. I would say China already is a super power now.
