Usually rent them I only buy them if I can't stop renting the same movie.

Well, with new movies that just came out on dvd, I usually rent them first to see if I am going to like it. I don't like to buy movies that I've never seen without knowing if it's dumb or not. Then if I like it quite a bit, I buy it. Otherwise, with movies I have seen, I buy it if I like it.

If I can handle watching a movie more than 3 times and still love it as much as the first time I watched it then its one that I will buy. If I just want to check it out then I will rent it and then decide if its worth adding to my collection.

i havent rented a movie in over 5 years, i buy them either on sale or used. for older movies it's only $5 , you just can't beat that.

My fiance and I just go to walmart on a random day and just pick a few movies weve never seen and just buy them. We don't ever rent.
