Why have I become addicted to this YahooAnswers website? And is it healthy? What purpose does it serve? And how did the creators know I am too competitive to not get my max amt. of points per day?!!

Oh, you'll get over it soon enough! Like you I was addicted to YA too. It came to a point that my day isn't complete if I cannot log in to YA. but gradually the magic wears off .you'll be too!

too much time on the computer can be detrimental. However, social gatherings have been the root of civilization as we all know it cliques gangs socials hangouts holes clubs treehouses caverns bars halls blogpages forums and yes THE INTERNET
ALL HAVE SOME SORT OF SOCIAL IMPORTANCE. so I have to ask you.... the chicken or the egg came first

i am the same way!!! thats funny!! i doubt its harmful, unless u neglect your normal duties. i just think its interesting to see what people want to know and try and help. i think its human to want to try and help people solve their problems or answer a simple question for them.
