we have this car and we have replaced the thermastat and water pump and I still don't know whats wrong with our car. Its a 1996 and we can't get to the raditor but we checked the resvour and it still looked fine. It was overheated in 5 mins or less when we replaced the water pump it now can go 10-15 min. and I am puzzled by this and wonder what it could be without costing me a arm and leg.

coolant system could be air locked, when its cold make sure rad is full, than squeeze the upper and lower rad hoses, it helps move the air to the top, keep fillin and squeezein untill it wont hold any more , start it up with rad cap off,an wait for the thermostate opens, water should drop and refill. 2 an see if there are bubbles runnin thro the rad if there is, you have other problems causin the over heatin, an if the thermostat is in backwards it will not open properlly and cause your over heatin

You need to find a way to check the radiator as well as your radiator fan. Also check your oil and make sure it is the correct amount and being distributed properly. There is a good chance that your gaskets will blow and crack your engine, and that is bad news.
