Type up your work and save it to a CD-R or CD-RW, easy as pie!

Yes, Nero does burn to CD. Does it have to be on CD? I had a heap of short stories and faced a similar problem, how could I save them safely. I had some burned to CD and that worked okay. Apart from the mistake I made in trying to overwrite on 'read only' disks. Others I had copied to flash drives, and that works fine. So unless you have a special need for Cd's then save to a flash driver. They are compact, and although they have a limited life-span they work fine try them. Hope this helps.

I have Windows XP and all I have to do is put in a blank CD, I think it is a re-writable CD...... Just go to Walmart or something and be sure to get CDs that can save Word documents. If you see "80 min / 15 MB" or something to that extent that means it will save document files. If it just has "80 min" or whatever that means it is just for music.

Just put the CD in your drive, then go to My Computer and click on the CD drive, it will be a blank folder, and then click and drag whatever files you want to burn into that blank folder. Somewhere it should say "write files onto CD" in the file, and just click that.

I saved nearly 600 pages onto 1 disk.

You should not need any kind of software at all. If you open the folder with your work in it, pick the piece you want to save to CD. If you right click on it, go down to "Send to" and select the writeable drive your CD is in.

I'm not sure what you operate but this is what I do with Windows XP.

Anything. Windows XP does it, or NERO software.
