Then I did a search through all of my sources for a reputable breeder for you and couldn't come up with a breeder listing for your area.
It sounds like you are looking for a hairless rat and they might just be a rarity where you are.
I can only suggest:

pet stores
animal shelters

in mumbai it is very difficult to find a dombo , hairless , hooded OR fawn rat . but you can find an white rat in every pet store . if you want a such kind of rat then make a round to a croford market , there you may find some fancy rat . that is a biggest pet market in mumbai OR you can place an order to any pet shop who keeps a rat .

I once read of a story where the lady had a big cage for a rat. the rat used one small area of the cage for his bathroom and played around in the rest of the area. guess all rats will behave the same. If you know about keeping rats then i guess any rat is good enough and there is no shortage in India. but the ethics of keeping a caged animal and dangers for you shd be researched upon.
