Yes. If for nothing else, some cops who know you had to of seen them will take your lack of slowing as either disrespect to safety and/or police or, worse, hoping you can slip away. As for the other person who guessed that your slowing down may have something to do with calculating your speed, that is false. In fact, in some cases the opposite effect may be true depending on how the officer is operating hit equipment.

Odds are if you've seen the cop, he's already got you on radar. You would certainly want to slow down, but braking hard is pretty obvious.

If you're speeding way over the limit, absolutely. Pretending you're innocent won't help. Just a couple of brakes to slow down a bit. You never know, he may not even have it on sometimes. Speeding just a little, just release the gas.

I take my foot off the gas to slow down and don't look at the cop. It's a sign of guilt if he's clocked you speeding and sees you looking at him.

well i agrre with everyone, slow down let go of the accelarator but ont brake because then your break lights would come on and they would no just smoothly decelarate
