What is the difference between Cha-Cha-Cha and Son?

I am not sure of this answer. I know that both comes from Cuba. Cha-cha-cha is an improvision of Son. In other words, cha-cha-cha developed from Son.

Son is a kind of Music from Puerto Rico.

Cha-cha-cha is a kind of Music from Cuba.

You can dance Cha-cha-cha with cha-cha-cha dance

No such thing as son dance.
