Sarz there is one big cover up on all things we don't get told the real facts and the simple reason is the government know they will not get questioned because the whole country is too complacent as long as they can get to football watch BB and other such things, the way this country is slipping away they have no idea/ the pride of this country has gone out the window and no-one seems to notice or care its very sad

Because we Americans have been taught overtime that we have the best form of government....Democracy. We've also been taught that we are absolutely free. So this has led to many Americans living their lives trusting the government to run their lives. Yeah we all say how much we don't trust them...but we do. If we didn't, we would be questioning them more instead of sitting around at the office or in a barber shop yakking about how much the President stinks.

Because governments all over the world are very clever at keeping the 'divide and conquer' style of ruling people going......the majority of the population are more concerned about who's in Celebrity Big Brother or some other crappy reality show, how much Posh Spice weighs or how much their neighbour's mortgage is rather than what their Government is up to !!

Because people would rather watch Monday night wrestling and talk about worthless, trivial matters. For example, a friend of mine recently told me that ordinary Citizens are not supposed to mouth back at ignorant cops. When I challenged her position by asking what her source of valid information was, she said, "Law and Order: SVU." Need I say anymore about the sad state of affairs for the sheople in this nation?

Could it be because the Public are not members of their democracy? We don't join anything. There is nothing there for us to join! We have no ways of communicating with the government! Our views, thoughts, hopes, ideals are all floating around somewhere in cyberspace & the heavens... whilst the policians struggle cos they aint got a clue...

Yeh. How is our dosh really spent? That's a total mystery!
Aren't we tax-payers really stupid for not insisting on transparent accounting?

Well said PADDY B. i agree entirely with everything you said. If the electorate was more interested in politics? then they would have a better understanding. P,S some of the money goes into education to learn people how to spell where (wher), sorry about that, but it did annoy me.

Some of us do question them - however this government do not appear to believe they are answerable to anyone and surround themselves with rings of Tony's Cronies and admit no responsibility. To get one answer would be like a full time job because they consistently ignore you or give you the runaround. They need to go!

The premise of your question is completely wrong. EVERYTHING that the British government does is subject to intense scrutiny. First by the opposition parties whose duty it is to hold the Government to account. Secondly by the media. We have the freest and most vigilant media in the world,. There is virtually no action, proposal or statement of our Government that is not picked to pieces in fine detail by the media. You live in a free country and you are at liberty to question EVERYTHING about government. I hope that you will.

It's not that we choose not to question our government, it's because we are afraid to. This should never be. Especially when our government questions the American people and wire tap our homes. We need to stop being afraid of telling our government how we feel and stop being intimidated.

our rulers pick on the innocent claiming they are stopping meal tickets, why because they are gutless, they dont bother about our pensioners, why because they are old and no longer any use, they are investing in the young, why because in the future it will save them money.and most of all they will stand up and be accounted for all their actions, why because they they are spineless..all it highlights is what medical wonders run our country,no spine,no guts,no heart, how do they function,no wonder the system is a mess.
