It's alright to send him an e-mail and keep in touch with him again. By the way you describe it; I sense that you both still have strong feelings for each other. You stated that you miss him. And he's worried for your concern. He keeps tabs on you by driving past your house. I'm sure you suspect that he's only using that as an excuse. That the main reason is that he still loves and misses you.
Sometimes, men have big ego and high pride. And men want to do the pursuing. And in today's modern society; it's totally acceptable for the lady to make the first move. Why don't you send him a e-card this special occasion of Valentine's Day?. It's a good day as any for a reconciliation. If not, send an e- card on his birthday. Find one that expresses how much you miss him and wishes him the best.
Or send him an e-mail with a poem you might have written with plain messages of how you feel.
It's perfectly okay for you to take the initial steps. Besides, when it comes to the matters of the heart it's never too late. This way, you'll find out exactly where you stand with him.
Sometimes, a temporary break-up such as this; gives both of you the ample opportunity to find out if what you feel for each other is real. A lot of couples sometimes fight because they find that the making-up is so much sweeter.
Both of you seem to be quite mature. So what you're feeling for each other could be the real thing. After all being together for that length of time of 4-5 years speak volume. in itself.
So go ahead; send him an e-mail with expresssions of love, longings and emptiness. I'm sure he would respond to you in the positive way. After all he is showing you that he also misses you
Do you know that there's nothing more romantic and satisfying that the feelings of being wanted, missed; needed and above all.... loved.? .Love can move mountains.
No, you shouldn't ask for another chance. That's begging! Beside, you might regret that later on, should he want to reconcile on his own terms. Then, you'll feel obligated.. This is especially true if he was the one who broke up with you first.
So go ahead send him an e- card on a his birthday . Perfect excuse to make contact. You might say, you reflected on your relationship. And you're still trying to figure out the real cause for your break-up. And mention the fact, that you examine your feelings That you took a good, long and hard look at your life. . That you came to the conclusion that what your're feeling for him is true love. That you find your life so empty without him. That you couldn't imagine life without him!
I speak like this because recently I found the love of my life. We are best friends, and soul mates. He makes me laugh. We both couldn't function when we are far apart. I want to spend every waking minute with him.
I'm on cloud nine, constantly. I find myslef humming again. At last, I 'm happy.

If you are still in communication, I think you should call him and ask him to meet for coffee somewhere private and then be honest about your feelings. If he does not want to get back together, then tell him you appreciate him looking out for you, but (be firm) to please stop driving by your house as you will be dating other men now and it just isn't right.
Either he will feel the same way and want to try again, or he will say he does not feel the same way. In which case, you do really have to tell him you can't see him anymore even as a friend and that he should not drive by your house. Once he realizes you are moving on, he might change his tune. But if he does not, at least you know and you are not waiting around wasting time.

Hi, i can relate to this as i am going through the same thing. I think you should find out more what he's been up to. Here you are with all the feelings and maybe he has moved on and has someone else already. I know sometimes is hard to find out these things, then, next time when he comes around either at your house or somewhere else, approach him and slowly start talking things. Don't immediately bring the how you feel feelings and want him again, rather, talk about other things and maybe then you'll find out exactly how he feels.

You must have been very young when you started dating him and there is a big age gap. It's ok to talk to him about how you are feeling, but trying to get back together is not going to make you move on... it's either going to get you back into a sub par relationship or leave you heart broken again. You are strong enough to move on by yourself.

why not have coffee or something - you need to let HIM persue YOU - not you persue him - the GUY chooses the GIRL - at least that's how I understand life - isn't the man the head of the household, and the Bible says the Man is the head of the house - head of the woman? it isn't disrespectful here, but that's just how it is. It's an authority here, so the man chooses the person he wants as his wife. And he needs to persue her, cherish her, love her, honor her, he has to WANT her.

Hi sarah, if you know that there isn't anyone else in his life and you still have feelings for him ,you can send him an email or an
E-card. in this case, there won't be any regrets. if he is still interested in you he'll reply back. give it a try!

i think u should talk to him and have a frank discussion on all that's on ur mind right now.besides,u urselfd is admitting that u fought over stupid stuffs,so if u've realised that, then i think u still have a chance and hopefully wont repeat ur mistakes.
