It's not Alaska, folks. When the United States bought Alaska, the International Date Line was moved west of Alaska.
The correct answer is Maine, where I am. The easternmost part of the state is at about W66 57.
Virginia and Florida aren't even close.

If this is a trivia question, the answer is technically Alaska. That's because part of the Aleutian Islands extend into the Eastern Hemisphere. Alaska also claims the honors of southernmost and northernmost states.
