The Germanic people, including Scandinavians, are bound together culturally and linguistically and likely are descendants of a common proto-Germanic ethnic group which had migrated north from continental Europe into Scandinavia around 4000 years ago and by 750 BC had begun a reverse migration southwards back into central Europe. Anyways, I'm not sure exactly what you want to know, so I won't go into too much detail, but even before 500 BC the Germanic peoples were divided up amongst numerous tribes and kingdoms which have grown apart from one another over time to give us what we have today. The differences today between the two groups of Germanic peoples you mentioned are too many to mention here. Though they are closely related, their language and culture have been divided historically and geographically for centuries. If you want to know more, or something else, you should look it up on wikipedia.

Physicaly some aspects of them are very similar, the famous theory if of course the areyeans promoted by Hitler who was known to promote sandanavian relations due to there blonde hair, blue eyes etc the difference really come with the larger group of people that have made there homes in germany, this is due in part to its central postion in Europe which means it is at the centre of the European network and had a more ecclectic background of people. Of course this is based on what we call Germany now and it could be argue the traits displayed are prussian or a dozen other names because of how many different nations have existed controlling the same area that is now Germany

I just visited my relatives in both countries
most Germans are good host like Most Scandinavian but the difference in the culture is vast. The German are more driven and goal oriented in their work and in their leisure. Germany is the beautiful country with the ugly history. Guilt, ignorance, and denial had caused the Germans to have a distorted point of view.
Scandinavian people are more less pr ones to these negative mind set.

it is been an exciting subject to study! I even have studied Martial Arts my entire existence and am sixty two years previous and have found out that the diversities are extra cultural than actual! even nonetheless domestically the chinese language in the Northern areas of China seem taller and their eyes are nearer in visual attraction to the human beings who stay in Mongolia and Tibet! The Southern chinese language seem shorter and their eyes are extra akin to the jap and Taiwanese! that's amazingly subjective so i assume this is incredibly lots the way something of the international sees it too! The Germans did a "racial" learn until eventually now WWII and took facial measurements and a few of that Ido is available on the information superhighway in case you google it!

not claiming to be an expert but i find the Germans very goal focused and not quite as accommodating as someone said The Scandinavians are a bit more accommodating and less rigid, they do have a more empowering attitude towards life and practice a more collective society.

Actually, they are both considered to be Teutonic people. If you go back far enough in history, they are very closely related.
