I am thinking it will probably be "The Departed"! All I know is I definitely hope Scorsese finally gets best director!

I have a feeling The Departed is going to clean up this year. I have a feeling it's Scorsese's year. Although I haven't seen it yet, my pick would probably be Letters from Iwo Jima. I thought The Queen was a well made movie but I didn't find it very interesting and outside of Helen Mirren's performance I don't think it was especially memorable - in fact, I would have much rather seen Blood Diamond get that nod. I thought Babel was good, but it didn't connect with me the way Iñárritu's other movies did. And I hope Little Miss Sunshine is just an also ran. I wasn't especially impressed with the movie and I can't begin to understand why in was even nominated.
In my opinion it's got to come down to Letters from Iwo Jima and The Departed.

I hope it is "The Departed". Best movie I have seen in a long time. I just hope they didn't shoot themselves in the foot (no pun intended) by showing the movie again on the big screen. I think that, lately, the Academy gets a little turned off when the people behind the movie don't display a little humility and act like they are definately the winner.

The Departed was amazing. DiCaprio stole the flick. I don't get why Mark Wahlberg keeps getting nominated for best supporting actor...I think Jack Nicholson or Matt Damon should win that. and The best movie of 2007 has to be BLACK SNAKE MOAN because Samuel L Jackson is a nut.
