This seems to be the question of the episode:
Izzie is George's best friend and that gives her certtain priveleges including telling him when he has made a fool of himself.
Remember it was not too long ago that he told his parents that she killed a patient and was on probation, that patient being Denny her fiancee'.
Callie asked Izzie to help out and keep the oversexed George away from her the day he proposed to Callie.
Izzie got a great look at George's erect Penis as she offered him a muffin that morning. Still she tried to talk to him on Callie's behave telling him that the sex was just away of avoiding his grief.
He told Izzie that he likes sex , it takes away the pain, and he is not going to shut people out and curl up on the bathroom floor in a ball like she did when Denny died.
Izzie asked him how Callie fits in all this. Is he thinking about what she wants.
The point here is that George is doing to Callie what Meredith did to George the night they had sex, using a friend to make him/her feel better.
That is what Izzie is so upset about. George did not understand what she was trying to tell him before he proposed to Callie.
Plus, I have always held that Izzie and George belong together. Even George's parents thought that.
As for Callie, she has a chance to be Chief Resident but no body is going to take her serious now that she is married to a surgical intern. She forgot all about what her getting married would mean to her career. Sydney reminded her about that last episode. Plus George took a snapshot of her in triage drills and was about to say what he was going to do to her in the OR. She has reason to be upset with his lack of professionalism in the hospital. She has to command respect in her operating room. She is a fourth year Resident.

That's just Izzie, she's kind of overprotective of George, and remember at the beginning, she didn't exactly love Callie. And as seen in past episodes, she can be a little too involved in other people's lives. I started not liking her when she lied to steal a heart- sure, she did it out of love for Denny, but what about the guy who was supposed to get the heart?

I think Izzy was right to voice her opinion about how she felt maybe not at that time but what's so wrong about voicing your your honest feeling's and like she said if they are really good friends then she should be entitled to say how she feels and he shouldn't hold it against her.
I like Kallie and I think that she is just having a hard time adjusting to being George's boss because of what everyone at work will say and what his friends will say. His friends are kind of a tough bunch to crack because they are so cliquey

i think Izzy went overboard with her comments and she was still flying high from a lifesaving head drilling and from sitting in on an operation after her suspension was lifted....

I think some people are forgetting that this is a television show we're talking about. Get a life! Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the show very much, but it's just that, a show, make believe. Besides, isn't the really important part of tonight's episode the fact that Meredith is dead?

Izzie get's it, that is why she said what she said.
I wasn't mad, because a good friend will say, "hey you did something stupid, but you're my friend, so i'll be here"
