traditional dresses are generally worn in theme based restaurants.
For example if there is a chinese cuisine restauranbt then whgat happens is that the dresses are worn by the waiters depends on the type of service they are trying to give to the customers.
There are also special days like the different themes and festivals that are being popularised in various restaurants . during such occasions it becomes necessary to have the service personnel to wear he traditional or similar costume and do the service as it tries to replicate the place or the theme you have selected.
