NBA bans Hardaway former NBA player from the All Star game in Vegas because he made anti gay remarks about Amaechi another former NBA player. The press is crucifying Hardaway because he said he wouldn't feel comforatable in the locker room with a gay player.
What the hell is wrong with that ? No straight man would!!!!
Has this world gone completely totally wacko?!!!!
You can send your son to war when he's 18 ,but he cannot have a beer or smoke a cigarette in a bar in most states nowadays.
They want to ban cell phone use in automobiles.
The press is crucifying Barak Obama because he smokes ciggarettes, just an excuse to ruin his name because they don't want to admit that he will have a hard time running for President because he is black.
Why not have open discussions on that? I am white and I would have voted for Jesse Jackson if he didn't drop out years ago. What's the problem with the press today?
Are they that hard up for a good story?

"The press is crucifying Hardaway because he said he wouldn't feel comfortable in the locker room with a gay player. What the hell is wrong with that? No straight man would!!!"

How nice that you purport to speak on behalf of all straight men. Now, if a MAJORITY of football players make clear the point that they don't want to have a gay man share their locker room, then that's politics. But don't you try to speak on behalf of all straight men!

"You can send your son to war when he's 18, but he cannot have a beer or smoke a cigarette in a bar ....."

Those policies make sense to me. They are perfectly rational policies. If you are complaining about them then I have to start wondering about you.

"The press .... don't want to admit that [Obama] will have a hard time running for President because he is black."

Your knack for know-it-all-ness is completely amazing. How in the heck did you come to this conclusion? How do you know for a fact that Obama will have a hard time just because of his race? How do you know that the press is "crucifying" Obama and why they are doing so?

"I am white and I would have voted for Jesse Jackson if ........."

Lol!!!! Doesn't that fall in the same category as: "Some of my best friends are ...." ?

"Has this world gone completely totally wacko?"

You would know.

I agree with Smile and Dee Jay. IMO political correctness has become a train wreck. I work at a high school greeting the public and answering a 6 line phone all day. I am usually multitasking 10 different things at one time. The Administration harps about political correctness but it's just a show, I'm in a position to overhear them when they think no one is listening :-) Talk about a group of bigots!! I am nice to everyone that enters my office and most days I take a bullet for some hair brained thing an Administrator has done. Thank goodness I have Certification to teach Crisis Prevention Intervention. Sure comes in handy every day. Great question!!!

YES, political correctness has gone to far. We have become so sensitive we are no longer able to solve social issues and give our country the cultural reform it so desperately needs. The State is imposing on our personal freedoms. I don't agree with you about Barak Obama, this country has been run successfully by White people since it has economically developed. I do not find similar stories or sufficient proof across the pond, (or oceans) in Africa that can say the same....I want things to stay the way they are. White. But I wonder am I being to politically incorrect, and you will give me thumbs down? Most would....and are not willing to discuss it openly, just attack my character....OH WELL

Yes, Political Correctness inherently infringes on the first amendment rights of all Americans in an attempt to appease certain groups.

Sure has, it seems that the aim is to outlaw anything faintly masculine. Before long the dykes and fairies will rule the world, unless that is the silent majority starts getting vocal about it all.

And i could care less if Obama smokes...
It's his far left Socialist policies that will keep him from getting my vote.

political correctness is nothing more than censureship. if it weren't for the press making a big deal out of nothing, there would be no correctness anything, political or what have you. while certain subjects are taboo, who makes the rules? and who enforces them? in reality, correctness is nothing more than another mis-direction to focus on non-issues instead of the reality of life.

Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!
