1. Eliminate your caste system. As long as you still have one, you'll always be a backward nation.
2. Eliminate Religious Sectarianism: I understand the Sikhs, for example, are not always happy with the treatments they receive.
3. Eliminate Sexism: Women's rights exists on paper only. Sometimes girls and women are killed or maimed for such thing as suspicion of infidelity, inadequare dowries etc...
4. Eliminate Elitism: The rich and the educated in India still feel they are beyond working for a living. They think if you have money or a degree, you should just sit sround and be waited upon. The higher educational system emphasizes theoritical, not practical learning so often engineers do not even know how to change a light bulb much less making one.
5. Eliminate Burdensome Bureaucracy: Your government should make things easier for the poeple, not more difficult.

Well firstly I am an American. Not Indian.

But know this, your country is already fast becoming one of the strongest economies on the planet. Its said that within ten years India and China will both have economies on par with the United States, and within 30 years they will out produce and out export the US.

I feel that India and China already are going to be the best economically. They also have the stonger work ethic than USA and have a more organized government structure.

You dont have to do anything my friend, its already comming.

India is emerging to be No.1 in the world. Indian politicians are the main hurdle. Fight against the corrupt and selfish political virus - remove them from the earth. India is self sufficient in food, rich in culture and peace loving. Need a accurate tuning, to be the number one.

Oh, you can do it very easily.
1. Start Voting.
2. Protest loudly against politicians who depend on caste, religion etc.
3. Participate in public forum demonstrations on policy decisions that you do not like.
4. Speak to young people about the fundamentals of politics and economy, and farmer suicides.
5. Stop paying royalty to foreign brands. Buy Indian products and pay a premium for them.
6. When traveling, use Indian airlines and fly to Indian destinations as a tourist.

Hi,
as all said india is becoming the best.... but we've to make it faster...
firstly we've to start the project of joining the rivers... if that project is started then we can move ten steps forward... B'coz in all fields we r doing good... but as per mahatma Gandhi's advice india's main strength is villages.. so we've to concentrate our food production.. if we join all the rivers in the country then irrigation will become one of our geatest power to become the best... secondly we've to improve the literacy rate...
thirdly we've to get rid of corruption (comprimising the quality)...
i'm sure india will become the best....

Already INDIA is the best in the world.In high population we are liking safe and secured life.If you see the negative aspects of one country, it will there in all country.Don't compare ours to others.
