I met a guy online a few months ago. I knew right from the start that he was something special, the type of guy I had been looking for. First it started out with IMing each other. We talked for hours online, and not the usual stupid convo. He is in the military and was on leave when we first met. When he had to go back to training, he gave me his cell number, and we text message each other ALL day, for a few weeks.... then we started calling each other and sending pictures everyday. I would talk to him for HOURS, I mean like 6 or 7 some nights. We fell asleep talking to each other, and then would text message each other through out the day.. we met a few weeks ago, and he was even more perfect then I imagined.... so things are great, and it is possible, as long as you are both honest. Sometimes you just know when something is real....and its good to take risks...

I met my husband online and Im in South Africa and he was in USA. I cant speak on behalf of everyone online but for us it worked because we both so shy and chatting online helped us get to know each other. You know the person is real when you do live webcam chats and telephone calls. Yahoo is the reason that I found happiness. Its easy to love someone when physical appearance isnt a pressure. people fall in love online because it's easy. make no mistake about it, you can have an online relationship that is every bit as intense as a face to face relationship can be. sure, you can lie and be lied to or you can be open and honest. i know 2 couples who met online and married. 1 failed, 1 is still going. it's a way to meet people that can be so much easier than meeting someone in person because you don't have to worry about your looks. the talking comes naturally, and feelings begin. try it, it's the only way to know for yourself.

My brother who is 21 meet his girlfriend who is 22 online. He was over seas when they started talking. They have been talking for about a year now but have been dating for about 6 months and still very much in love. Sometimes its good and sometimes it could be bad.

Falling in love with the thought of being in love is not love at all. It's an illusion. You said it yourself. How can you love someone you've never even met face to face? Just my two cents.

it doesnt have to be wrong always. it may not work 90% of the time tho..its really hard to find ppl who are really interested in talking. i always wanted a friend who i can talk to online coz i really get bored. but all of them seem to think i'm dangerous and its not good to talk online. esp the girls, they are so so so difficult to talk to....
