It's the 3rd season.

The hospital is named Seattle Grace.

And the show is Grey's Anatomy. Because Meredith Grey is the main character and narrates almost every show at the beginning and end (there are a few exceptions).

The title is actually a play off of a medical research book named Gray's Anatomy (in it's full title known as "Gray's Anatomy: Descriptive and Surgical" or in later editions "Henry Gray's Anatomy of the Human Body ".) It was originally published in 1858 and is a classic work based on the human anatomy.

The other Grey doctor is her mother Dr. Ellis Grey who has Alzheimer's.

What season is this of Gray's Aunatomy?

It is episode 15 of Season 3

And how did the hospital get named after Merideth?

The Hospital's name is Seattle Grace not Seattle Grey's

ok, not the hospital.. how did the show get named after her...?

It is a pun. The show is about what makes up Meredith Grey, the woman, and the surgeon. It is a pun off ot the resource book Gray's Anatomy, which is a book of diagrams of the parts of the human body. It is a metaphor of sorts between the book and the show, between what makes up a human being and what makes up Meredith. The show is centered around her.

and who is the other Gray doctor.. her mom who now has alzeimers?

Ellis Grey, was a world renouned surgeon, most likely cardio vascular, who trained at Seattle Grace like her daughter and who lived in the area when the Alzhiemer's set in. She had an affair with Richard the current Chief of Surgery when they were bothe interns at the hospital and it cost her her marriage to Thatcher Grey. He remarried and now has two other daughters. At any rate she developed Alzhiemers and now Meredith take care of her , her house, and her condition.

Officially it is season 3

The hospital is "Seattle Grace"

It is not named for either of the Dr. Grey's

The show is named "Grey's Anatomy" because, while it is an ensemble show, Merideth Grey is the lead in that it revolves around her thoughts and perceptions at the beginning and end of each episode.

It's "Grey's Anatomy" not Gray's Aunatomy. And it's Meredith, not Merideth. She narrates most of the time and she is the one most focused upon, Isn't it obvious that she is the main character? Isn't it normal to name the show after the main character, like say, "Seinfeld" and "Frasier"??
