...now it's used to encompass a slew of qualities about someone. Looking at it from my point of view [if you will] a cool person can be a good lier. So how is it a good quality to lie? Maybe we got lazy and started calling everything cool as not to remember definitions of certain words in the Enlish lexicon (that means language). Do you think 'cool' is getting as old as 'cold'?

Of course. People - in masses, as you observe it here - have always been lazy and generally half-literate, with only a minimal vocabulary. Why do you think "cinema" is "theater" in America, and dialogue has become dialog? Because the vast majority couldn't spell and over generalized, and now we have these rules made by morons (last 7 years even in the politics). Soon it will be the norm to accept "compatability" and "seperately" and "grammer." But it's all cool, that's how languages evolve :-)

I believe you really know that the word is "liar," not "lier."

dont think too much about it.. cool is different in everyones perspective..
i can give you some definitions that i know of for the word "cool"
1. a sarcastic word. ex. you think your so cool but you are fake.. etc..
2. a relaxed, funny, feel-good person/show/club/anything anything can be cool as long its "good"
3. tempreture same as cold or staying cool in heated situation
4. means okay, like cool, means its all good

I am a cool dude,but I don't consider myself a good liar,,huh! I lied one time to my mommy and a lots of time to some chicks that I am trying to hit a score for a hot date. Now I am chillin,in front of my computer answering your question drinking a cold budwieser.
