hey, does anyone watch bleach? in the 82nd episode or so, ichigo suddenly has this white mask. i skipped all the episodes in between so i was sorta suprised when i saw him.
is the guy with the mask is 'shirosaki' or something.... ?
i was just wondering when does ichigo with a mask FIRST appear.. which episode is it? isn't there like a episode where they introduce the white mask or something?

The guy with the mask is ichigo's inner hollow. After Byakuya defeated Ichigo, while Byakuya and Renji were on a mission to take Rukia back to Soul Society, he lost all his shinigami powers. He went through intense training with Urahara Kisuke to get his shinigami powers back. During his training, Urahara severed the chain that connected his soul to his pysical body, saying that he had 72 hours to get his shinigami powers back or else he'd turn into a hollow. Around the 70th or so hour, he starts transforming into a hollow but a hollow mask is the first thing that comes out, not the hollow body which is usually the first thing that comes out. While that's happening, Ichigo's talking to Zangetsu in his mind and he successfully regains his powers and is once again, a shinigami, but now he also has an inner hollow that dominates over Shinigami Ichigo in life-threatening situations and when it does, the white mask comes out.
The episode when Ichigo first appears with a mask is episode 19, but it isn't until during the Soul Society Sneak Entry arc and the beginning of the Arrancar and Vaizard arc that you really understand what the mask and Hollow Ichigo really is.

OMG! you missed out on a lot of episodes, neh? (tsktsk)...shame... my advice is, you watch patiently... and oh, KUROSAKI ICHIGO'S hollow mask first appeared on ichigo's training with urahara kisuke... when he was trying to restore his shinigami (death god) powers... it was seen again in his match with the 6th division taichou kuchiki byakuya...
c'mon man, watch the whole thing religiously... ^^
