First make sure you have good drainage, a breathable membrane is layed onto the area you are putting the turf, this membrane must be twice the size of the area being used, read on, put down a firm base of small shingle rocks these need to be river washed IE rounded a six inch depth should do it, make sure this well compacted, next a layer of river washed sand well compacted, next the breathable membrane is rolled over the whole thing fixed into the drainage ditch you have dug around the whole area, a glue like compound is then spread onto the membrane, onto this the artificial turf is then layed, rolled when dry, brush with fine silver sand.

But if you wish get someone else to do it or just go for the real thing, its much more simple.

I have never done this, but ask where you bought it, they will have the manufacturer's guidlines.
