Hi !!!
Private schools have being here for a long time!!! And I believe they are here to stay!!!
They are serious and realiable, but a lot of the expenses come from parents!!!
O.K. this could be as an advantage, as when the parents are the ones paying, they pay a lot of more attention to their children progress, because if they fail, that year's money will be wasted!!
Also there more serious consecuences, as far as behavoir speaking and also enforcing rules and regulations!!
On the other hand, there are public schools!!!
Public shools, are essencial !!!! They serve a tremendous importance to communities!!!
But because, they are public, their are a variety of very important issues concerning behavior, rules and regulations, are always, a concern, to be inforced
I believe that just like everything else, it all depends on the person who is in charge of overlooking the standars on which each Distirct works. Making sure, to address to every issues and needs.
But the education in public schools should never be compromise. This is what will give the chance to secure a well educated, and prosperous future!!!
So if the districts are NOT performing up to the standars, then we should give assesment tests to Districts officials to reasure, that they know what to do and how to do it, and to test them also, just to make sure they do not get to comfortable in their possitions, to keep them on their toes.
Standars, instruction, and progress, not only of students but of school officials, curriculum and materials should be monitored closely, at all times by experienced and reliable educators!!!
This is all to avoid school officials, as well as students falling through the cracks, of the system!!!
Public education is an execellent, unexpensive way to educate the children, yet because it is without much cost, this brings a whole array of problems; that private schools usually avoid.
For the same reason, I have to say that public education at public schools, actually is being re-inforce, and there are a lot of programs, where the students benefit, NOT only for instruction, but also for social growth.
This is just a humble comment from, some one who works in the public schools for 20 years now!!! And kind of understand the origins of this questions.
GOOD BLESS YOU & HAPPY DAY
A.Z.

No. According to the recent best seller "Freakonomics" the school a child attends is not as important as the child himself. A clever child will always rise to the top. There was a study done on this when Chicago allowed children to attend whatever high school they wished. The result was that the children that remained in the ghetto schools faired as well as the children that left their area to go to an upscale school.

Yes, private schools are much better than public. Especially today when the schools spend so much time babysitting illegal aliens to make the teachers unions happy. It dumbs down the schools and hurts the other students.

It's like saying are rich kids better off than poor kids. Generally speaking, yes, rich kids get to see and do things that most poor kids just don't get a chance to experience. You should see all the cool things they get to do in private school.
