I watched it last night. Really, there is a reason it's being released in the middle of February rather than during the summer or holiday season. While I won't say it's bad, it is unintentionally funny and very campy. That said, I think the weaknesses in the film are the fault of the story rather than the actors. Eva Mendes is smoldering hot. Wes Bentley plays a pretty good bad guy - who I believe is the son of Satin. The Sam Elliot character is kind of wasted; he's there to impart some wisdom and had a few witty one-liners, but he doesn't really do much. Then he rides off in to the sunset without having done much of anything. I think Nicolas Cage does a decent job with the role, but I think it would have worked better if they had played the whole movie either a lot more campy or a lot more serious. As it is, Ghost Rider inhabits this kind of in between territory where it's trying to be serious and campy at the same time.
I do have two major criticisms. One: the effects look like they pulled out every trick in the book from 10 years ago. They look more fake they we're used to with modern movies. Two: the bad guys die way WAY too easy. The utter a line or two about how they are indestructible right before they are destroyed with hardly the bat of an eyelash. This movie definitely could have benefited from a Neo/Mr. Smith level battle.
Overall I give it a 6 out of 10.

After your methadone answer sir you may be a ghost rider soon yourself. I have a friend who is very sick, started off bragging like you. We helped her and she is going through living hell. I feel sorry for you. The worst thing is that you speak about it like it is not an illegal drug and it is. Did you know the D.E.A. is on to you. Do you understand more then 60.000 people per day is on this site, including F.B.I. and if you think you're small time, well on this site we have kids of all ages and you being so talkative about how cool you think it is to represent drugs and hard drugs at that, I promise you already, you might want to start filling out those papers.

I completely consider you!! i grow to be wondering the very similar aspect as i grow to be watching it, it grow to be like no longer some thing at the same time as he fought the 'undesirable adult men' weren't they meant to be troublesome? quite they targeted on stupid stuff the completed time! and then at the same time as it did come right down to combating the evilest dude, it grow to be so lame! i grow to be disillusioned to boot!

havent seen it either and planning to... with Nicolas Caige in it, it better be good. The previews seemed pretty awesome...
