It was a savage crime and one which shook our Nation, unfortunately a dangerous prelude of things to come ! Why can't victims rights count for anything ? why do these animals deserve a second chance ? They bring their carnage here with them knowing they can cry racial vilivication when their caught ! We don't want the same problems the US have on their streets do we ?

You have confused several issues. One is our desire to have a standard to convict people of a crime. And the other issue is the savageness of the crime. It seems to me the more savage the crime the greater the publics interest seeing that the right person is convicted. You may combine these two by being able to convict as many people as you want for one crime and lowering the standard for conviction.
