I have a friend who works at a place where every single person in there could afford a nice car. He drives a Honda Civic 05 I think and has holes to the side of the car looking like someone shot some bb bullets or poked it...He claims to have no enemies or anybody he has trouble w/ at work... There's actual people who hate civics that much??!

I'm considering buying a beater car just for this and tell people that it's my real ride and I work at a super crappy place.

It's very annoying to have your car vandalized for whatever the reason. We had a Galant in 1995 and someone key-scratched the hood in the K-Mart parking lot for no apparent reason. I don't think they hated Galants, but I do think they had some serious mental problems.

To prevent this from happening again, you can suggest to your friend that he speak confidentially with his supervisor about it. Usually idiots who will do this in the first place will do it again. He can ask the employer if he can install a secret camera watching the lot. It can be a live web-cam which could be accessed VIA wireless and viewed on any computer. The feed can be recorded on a CD-ROM and reviewed later as evidence.

Then when it happens again, the culprits can be quickly terminated and arrested for damaging private property.

It depends, if it is a stock 05 civic I'd have to say it was more than likely enemies, if it is riced out there are many people that would lower themselves by screwing with it, although there are some infants that will screw with any car just to make themselves feel better about driving a POS. Not even a week after I bought my merc some hosehead dug the AMG and Merc emblems off with a screwdriver while I was eating, the upside was I had it completely debadged and repainted, but it still cost me the $250 deductible.

Personally I don't care how little you think of someone, damaging their car should be punishable by death.

The world is full of pricks. They hate all kinds of cars. A neighbor of mine had her black 02 Mercedes SUV keyed simply because it was an SUV.

The "reasons" probably vary from vandal to vandal, but it's quite obvious the people who do this kind of thing have absolutely no respect for the property of others, and all political causes be damned.

Or maybe it's jealousy.

Now I like Japanese cars and like Hondas, and would not ever mess with anybody's car regardless of make. However, I hate Civics. Well, not all Civics, but Civics that have a *$%ed up spoiler that doesn't match, a loud muffler, and some pissant idiot getting out strutting around like he's tough $#!T. That's why a good day for me is when I cut off or pass a Civic. But then again, I have issues. But you asked the question.

Most people I have met with Honda's are A holes. They act like they own the best thing on wheels and that that are unbeatable. If he is mouthing off to coworkers about his perfect car he probably pissed one of them off. Therefore what he found.

There are plenty of people out there with big egos or are just resentfull to holy hell, just because of owning a center car. Does your friend act like a jerk? If so, it could be a personal attack.
