The problem with juries is that 99% of the ppl are not educated on the laws; but, the main problem is that information is too circulated nowadays. Seriously, every crime that is committed, is put in newspapers, etc... The normal ppl are influenced by this information.

No, we have a Constitutional right to a trial by a jury of our peers for a reason. The founding fathers set this system up so that the elite few would not have too much power over the people, as this is a government FOR the people, BY the people.

Jury trial if no longer effective could be replaced by trial through a judge or panel of justices which is also a good system in the administration of justice.

Professional juries, or change the requirement of having a unanimous decision to 2/3 except death penalty cases. A prof. jurry would cut down on the BS and the flim flamming or trying to confuse jury members.
