I'm confused. Why are certain groups denying the Holocaust ever happened?

There is pictorial evidence of the gathering of Jewish people. There are pictures and films of the dead bodies dumped in mass graves and bones in the crematoriums. There are pictures and films from the allied soldiers who liberated the death camps. There are survivors who have told their stories of the murders and atrosities. They bear the numbered mark. Saying that the Holocaust did not happen is like saying slavery did not happen in America. Why is the Holocaust being denied? What are all of those suffering people supposed to be actors? The camps a stage?

The reason the holocaust is being denied, is because that if the Holocaust never occurred then there is no legitimate reason for the state of Israel to exist. As you have probably noticed Iran held a conference last year to question the Holocaust

If you can brainwash people into thinking that science is false and that dinosaurs came from another planet, or that if you kill yourself while wearing nikes a ufo will come from space and save you into a higher existence, you can convince people of anything. Neo-nazis propogate and actually believe that the holocaust was a hoax, a conspiracy by the Americans, British, or Jews to demonize the German people. Turkey similarly officially denies the Armenian genocide. It's true, the Jewish Holocaust gets a little too much attention over many other genocides, but denying any genocide is something you just can't do as a human.

All these people blantantly deny the truth because they need to have faith in some misguided beliefs. It's suprising how these faiths can last when they rest upon such moronic denial of reality. We can only hope that it doesn't get too out of hand because that's when disaster happens.

There will always be people who deny that something bad happened or the fact that it didn't happen the way the public was told. For example, 9/11, JFK assassination & just about anything else that was horrific. The Holocaust deniers are simply trying to say it didn't happen because they're trying to take away from the Jews. They want to erase that part of history so their continued hatred can go on and prove once & for all that Jews are liars and shouldn't be trusted (this isn't true and I don't agree with that thinking). There's loads of documentation on the Holocaust. The camps are still there. There are films of executions, etc. It happened. It's yet another tactic to try to convince people that things are kept from us and huge groups of people are trying to deceive us. There will always be wackos like this. Take it with a grain of salt and do your research on the subject yourself.

Why anyone would make up such a huge lie is beyond me. Way too many people disappeared of the face of the Earth due to these concentration camps for them not to have existed. It was a very real event and people need to stop trying to deny it.

You are absolutely right about the evidence you mention and there is even more evidence than this, e.g. the Nazi documents, the evidence given by perpetrators in trials and simply the fact that these millions of people were missing after the war. So for every normal person it has to be absolutely clear that the Holocaust did happen.
But there are two groups of people who deny the Holocaust and both are antisemites who believe in weird theories of a Jewish world conspiracy: neo-Nazis and radical Islamists. They really say that the Jews had made up all that and this matches their general idea that Jews were the great manipulators of the world.

Well, I do believe that the holocaust happened, but because the media is controlled by Jews and they want to have people sympathize for them and give them money, so they publicize it. There have been many,many worse "holocausts" in our time. Stalin, in Russia, killed more than 2 times the people the Nazis "killed" Japan raped Chinese people literally and figuratively. They killed 6 times the amount killed in the "Holocaust" and with the same "experiments" the Nazi's "did". Their humanity conflicts were worse than the Nazis.

Sometimes people are so ashamed of their horrendous deeds, that they lie to even themselves. After a long time of denial, the fact becomes seriously almost fiction to them, and they may even start believing that it never happened. The Holocaust was horrible, and it showed a side of human nature that nobody ever wants to see again, and maybe it is just their way of trying to forget that it ever happened.
