America without immigrants? That wouldn't be america anymore! But i do think population control would be a great idea. let's make people pass a test before they get pregnant or something...geez, too many dumb people having babies! You have to take tests for everything else, why not for the most important job you could ever have.

The reason why the allow migration is to have a large population.The nordic countries did introduce population control and had negative effects (population growth was negative). Currently they have incentives to encourage procreation)
there's a major correlation between population and economic growth as that is why USA encourages Immigration.

The better question is "could" America do these things. Restricting immigration is possible. However, "population control measures" would definitely be unconstitutional.

American economy is in a great shape. for e.g the IT industry. however most of the workforce comes from China, Korea and India. So if America restrict immigration, chances are the IT companies might have to downsize its productions, meaning more cuts in jobs. As for popln control, take a leaf out of China's popln control measures..... a "2 child per couple " policy. Reduction of popln of Americans will mean lesser stress on world resources.

Allow me to get off alright! how can America you call it control anything when they first of all took the land and kidnapped those whom them brought over here oh i get it the African Asians oh don't forget the Indians done built the country now the white folks realize they ( the 3 I've mentioned now realize they really own it and the white folks are JUST REALIZING THEY ARE NOT ONLY OUT NUMBERED BY LOWER THAN! and soon to be ran out of the northern continent by the continents which now - YES TODAY where the African Asian and Indian present gene relatives rule hay all three of these people all over the world holds a grudge and beef with the northern whites and the whites period!
and the war proves even the president lies in spite of given a trusted position you see no one was fooled! this is how these crackers have always played!

No, and here is my theory on why not.... the earth is a living, it has evolved over millions of years. The earth will control the population itself. Think of a cow, when a fly lands on the cow you see that cow shudder in the area where the insect lands. The earth kind of does the same thing to us. Population control is ridiculous, I mean really we can't think we have that much control...
