Ever thought that they expect above average service to give a tip?

well lets start of by saying not all white or mexicans tip either... I'm black and I tip everytime my family and I go out to eat. I guess it depends on how much money that person has to spend. Could it also be that the service was not god enough to even consider a tip?

I used to work in a high end restaurant. I dont know about tipping but there was one thing that used to piss me off. Those white, high society jock type a.ssholes sitting there dumping the salt and pepper shakers out on the table or pouring salt in the pepper container trying to look cute in front of their cheerleader, blonde ambition girlfriends; who would sit there giggling like a 5 year old. I friggin hated prom nite the most. That used to chap my a.ss. And yes, I'm white. White people do their fair share of BS!!!!

I'm a Black dude and I can tell you that the reasons vary from person to person. I didn't tip pizza deliverymen until halfway through freshman year of college b/c I didn't know they were supposed to be tipped (i.e., some Blacks may fail to tip b/c they don't know that they are supposed to do so). Some Blacks may fail to tip due to bad service (you shouldn't have to give 15% for bad service just b/c you're Black). Finally, some Blacks may just be cheap.

That's generalizing and stereotyping and that's not fair. That's like me asking why all the people of your ethnicity speak as though they are ignorant, and don't understand how to use correct grammar. Just because you butchered this question, is it fair to assume that all of your people are as ignorant as you are? Of course not!
Usually people don't tip because of bad service, and that problem transcends any color line.

Maybe this depends where you live? Try not to be so prejudice. I'm sure white people don't tip sometimes too.

Actually I tip 10% everytime I eat out. Please don't generalize. Have you met every black person?
