Hi! The "maid" of honor is a lady who the bride feels closest to is asked to honor the bride by standing in witness to the marriage. It is an honor. Mom's now are able to be maid of honor but usually it is a sister or girlfriend. The maid of honor helps the bride with her needs, stands by her during the ceremony and sits by her at dinner. She walks down the isle with the "best man" who is the groom's choice for his closest friend, brother or even dad. The maid of honor usually buys her own dress and other accessories that bride wants her to wear at the ceremony. She also makes a" toast" or says some nice words for the couple at the reception. It is MAID OF HONOR a girl who is a close friend and will tend to the needs of the bride to prepare for the wedding day.A symbolic position only and an honor to be at the head of the line of other maids.

A "Maid of Honor" is a girl the bride picks to be in her wedding party; usually someone pretty close to her. A "Matron of Honor" is when they are married.

Usually that is someone who's a very close friend to the bride (made of honors are women). It could be a bestfriend, the one who introduced the bride-to be to the groom or the closest girl relative of the bride.

Maid of honor. The woman who helps the bride with EVERYTHING. She throws the bachelorette party, the bridal shower, helps the bride with all the errands and is basically the brides slave until the wedding is over.

U no what a maid is in the wedding the maid of honnor is just the like "leader" like ur personal bff or ur sister is the maid of honor.

Its a woman who is chosen by the bride, to help her with her duties. and theres tons of em, just to prepare for the wedding and you walk down the aisle and then watch her get married.
