Was it inside out, use a short cycle, cold water or not more than 30 degrees and use a detergent for dark colors. By the way no fabric conditioner.

I don't think I have heard of any product that prevents jeans from fading, but I have heard color will remain longer, if you turn the pants inside out while washing them in cold water.

before you even wash them soak them in cold water and vinegar . this help to set the dye (think easter eggs) then when you do wash turn them inside out and wash them on the shortest time setting with mild detergent. if you get stains, spot treat only instead of adding a general product to the whole load.

I heard if you add 1/2 cup white vinegar to any dark color washing, the colors will not fade...

The best jeans are used old and worn the ones that look warned and feel worned out are your signiture no one else can copy it hay there your jeans! Dont every worry about the color ahhhhh man the color should fade you know hay i tell you this and i bet you didnt know this!
jeans are like finger prints and no two jeans in the worild are the same color! hay give your jeans yu and yu to your jeans!
