Bush lied to us about Iraq and got over 3,000 brave young Americans killed (more than the terrorists killed on 9/11).
Now he says Iran is a threat. One wonders if the real threat to the United States isn't in the White House.
And yes, the President does not have the power under the Constitution to unilaterally declare war on another nation. Our founders were smarter than that.
Only CONGRESS can declare war (Article 1, Section 8). The power to declare war, even the mention of "war" does not exist in Article II, Section 1, which defines the powers of the Presidency.
Power? Nope. Pelosi's head is spinning around with the Constitution, a concept which has been sorely lacking for the past six years.

No don't think so. If she and Congress funds Bush invading Iran also, then our generals need to stage a Coup and everyone of both houses of congress , Cheney and Bush all of them needs to be put in front of a firing squad for treason.
And for everyone's information, it is congress that declares war not the president. And if he sends in troops to engage in war without the approval of congress that is an impeachable offense.
What it really looks like Bush is doing is trying to pull the old smoke and mirrors, the old shell game, the old switch and bait routine. Reason to get our minds off Iraq and his royal foul ups there.
Reason, if he doesn't and this surge turns out to be a flop, then congress is going to stop the war whether he likes it or not. And if that happens he will go down as the worst President this country has ever had. Even worse than Nixon.
So that said he is trying to find something or someone to blame if the surge turns out to be a flop, and the Iranians just happen to be in the unfortunate position of being right next door to Iraq so they will make a handy scape goat in-case the surge fails.

Oh come on bubba what is your problem? Read the journals on the truth about this strategy we have horrible leaders for war as soon as Colin Powell resigned! Why because he knew this was going to be another Viet Nam and he knew it was about the power and the debts the bush clan has and the New World Order! Wake up! will it take another big bang to wake you up? Watch they will pull some crap to get that war escalated and it might be the money they left, 343 tons of cash totally 12 billion and the enemies got it! And now he announces that Iran is helping Iraq? Come on with what did Iran buy the military equipment and from whom? Get with the program, this is so retarded! And what is more retarded is that you don't see it! You would rather see us in war? Because this guy you idololize can't be a crook because you believe in him? How many times have you had your heart broken? Someone lied to you in some way a friend maybe a lover? So what get over it! you are not in love with this guy Bush he is just a man and he makes mistakes! What we the people forget is to police our politicians, that is our job, not congress, not the FBI but our job! No one is perfect but get rid of him and move on! there are plenty more where he came from under a rock? go find another? Or vote for someone you can trust a little? They all cheat, lie, steal, and murder if necessary to get where they want to be! That is the difference between us We the People? The average person here is God fearing and won't murder to get what we want? That is why we are not Nazis like Bush Clan! We don't need an inept guy in intelligence to run us into a ditch we will never get out of? Just look around we are broke, we sold out to China , and Euro trash. Arabs Israelis etc., We are never going to be okay from this till he is gone! And we get rid of corruption in our government with big business! Go buy a farm and see what you get here? You get the government at your door telling you that they will pay you not to grow? Find out the real reason why? they are selling our land off to foreigners! Look at the7000 people Arab refugees from Iraq? and we have to pay for them? With what? Wake up! It is people like you that are too stubborn to admit you made a mistake, and it might be contagious? Did you catch it from Bush Clan? Because if you did get rid of it otherwise you will become a pathelogical liar like they all are!

Seem like there was a movie a few years ago called "Beatle Juice", that is what Pelosi reminds me of when her head is spining. She wants to cut off war funds, yet that aircraft she wants for her, her family and friends pleasure cruising, she going to pay for that her self, no, she is on a Power Trip, yes, We shall see about that. Bush does have the power to invade Iran. Pelosi better be careful about that Power Trip she is own, that other bi*tch, is on a Power Trip too, Pelosi will learn what evil is real quick, if Pelosi does not kiss this one's butt.

nicely, this is the question, isn't it? no person's certainly examined it in court docket. Constitutionally, Bush is Commander in chief, yet in basic terms Congress can declare conflict. yet somewhat, Bush can order troops to do in spite of he needs and Congress can verify him with investment. So that's a physically powerful question. yet unquestionably, without Congress (and the country) in the back of him, Bush could be decrease than marvelous to attack Iran.

Congress has served notice on the White House. You are right, we shall see. I don't think they would have done this if they think they will make fools of themselves, as politicians hate to do that. I think they have something they can use against Bush if he attacks Iran, maybe enough to stop him from doing so. It should be a big struggle and unfortunately we will be more than disinterested spectators.

So you think congress is going to give Bush a blank check again? The senate and house would not authorize an invasion. Besides, our military is stretched WAY too thin as it is. The Military is actually giving waivers to more convicted felons just to get numbers up.
