I thought Babe was a permanant fixture, what happened?

Usually they will kill off an actor or actress when there is a contract dispute. I read there were some problems a while back. A friend told me it was contractual. However, I have not read this bit of information (rumor).

They are only making it look like Babe is dead because it seems that Alexa Havens needed some time off in real life. Keep looking, Babe should be back by next week.

She's not really dead. While they are having funerals for Dixie and Babe they find one of them is actually alive!! Don't know which one yet but my guess is Babe because Cadie (Dixie) was leaving the show.
