Kids are watching something like Sponge Bob and they walk away...over a course time maybe 5 to 10 mins...you realize you are still sitting there, watching Sponge Bob or whatever and there are no kids around anywhere!!!

Oh my goodness I have done that so many times. It is my intent to turn to something else, yet I find myself engrossed in the show they were watching. That's actually the only time that I find out about new cartoons and shows. Unless I hear them talking about a show or character. At the age of 40 you get pretty complacent with what you do.
Of course that is not to say that I have not enjoyed the shows as I was watching them.
I also enjoyed this question.

GOOD LUCK.

Its normal. You know anytime you turn that channel those children are going to enter that room and start crying or just complaining that they were watching such and such.So rather than listen to that again we learn to leave it alone!LOL Kids teach well don't they!
