My children 's name are often misconstrued for male names .
I never imagined in my wildest dreams they would feel so offended by them. Kids are really cruel Personally I never cared for my name either but the alternatives were a whole lot worse.. My daughter plans to name her baby after my mom's names' " lolee" I think it's a mistake but it her decision . It looks like a tease in the making. Her name is Danielle . I named her that so I could call her Dani.. She hated it. I sympathise with you.

I named my 7 year old daughter Rowan, which I found out later is primarily a boy's name. Hopefully she won't have to go through that later in life.

It could be worse, Bobbi. You could have been a boy named Leslie, Sharon, or Carrol.
