Does jonny depp acts better when he`s serious or when he`s wierd like in the pirates of the caribien

i think that he's an amazing actor in any role that he chooses to be. he's the only actor that could make any character "come alive", no matter whether the character is weird or serious. i've loved every movie that i've seen, except for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (that movie was disturbing).

Johnny Depp is just an all around great actor...but i do have to say his best acting is in Pirates of the Caribbean.

I think he is very multi talented and it'd be hard to categorize him, I mean honestly his personality is almost like a chamillion... I really think hes good in the pirates of the carribean but I still love edward scissor hands, sleepy hollow, from hell and all those good ones and the ninth gate =))

I'm not sure whether you'll rank this as serious or weird. I think his character in Edward Scissorhands was seriously weird, and that he was utterly awesome in the role.
