Yes it is. There was actually a study done about this. It actually happens a lot. Some of the children who grow up and were molested themselves eventually molest other children as well. This is why children who are victims of molestation should and need to have therapy but many don't seek the help they need because they keep silent.

it is very possible, and very common as well. When a child is habitually molested, one time victims are less apt to become molesters themselves, they loose all power in their lives. They learn that the only way to assert power where they've lost it is through forced sexual acts. It's also a form of conditioning. They link the sexual act to rape. Extensive therapy time is often the only way of helping these victims. Please, if you or someone you know has been abused, seek help. Here is the number for the National Sexual Assault Hotline; 1.800.656.HOPE I only hope they can help if it truly is a problem... Good luck, and god bless

It is true: abused children often grow up to be abusers themselves. This isn't true just for sexual abuse, but also physical/emotional/verbal abuse.

The important distinction to make here is that the vast majority of child sexual abuse cases are not male/male or female/female. The vast majority of child sexual abuse cases are male-on-female cases. Add to that the shocking fact that most abused kids are related to their abusers.

Right-wing Xtians love to spread the lie that gay people are 'created' when a gay person molests a child. This is simply not the case. Yes, there are some gay molesters. But, as I said above, most child molesters identify as heterosexual.

Sexual abuse is one issue. Homosexuality is another, completely separate issue. When the two issues overlap, it is nothing more than coincidence. Let's say that, out of a group of 100 child molesters, 10 of them have blue eyes. Would you then say that having blue eyes predisposes one to being a child molester? No, of course not. You would simply understand that that was the percentage of blue-eyed people in the group.

It is possible, but a great many people are molested and grow up without doing the same thing to others. In fact, many people who were molested grow up to devote their lives to helping others who were molested.

It's a tragedy. It hurts the child and his entire family for a long, long time. But people can and do go on to live worthwhile and wonderful lives after such an event.

it is sad but true many molested children turn out to do it to others
as they see that is how you treat a child and therefore treat children the same way
but there are many people out there stopping it from happening counseling and other things do help
being able to be open about what might have happened to children helps them see it as wrong
and with newer laws like what doctors have to do if they see signs of abuse all helps save children
and convect the adults all helping to get rid of it
