What do you guys think about the offseason? Should we try and get Adalius Thomas, Dwight Freeney, or should we stick with what we got and try to get some guys through the draft? Or maybe any possible trade ideas? Let me know what you think

well we just tagged Smith so that pretty much eliminates any big free agents. i was torn on Thomas because of his age. if we are going to pay a de like a top 5 end i would rather it be freeney than smith. I would like to see the bengals move down a little bit in the first round if possible as they will draft about 4 spots to late to get the players they need the most (branch, okoye, anderson, nelson, landry)so if they could move down to the end of the round and pick up some extra picks that would be sweet. in round 2 i think they can find good value at corner, safety or tight end. there are more pressing needs but i would also like mason crosby with that big leg. in free agency i would like a better back up qb, i thought wright sucked(or maybe jordan palmer?) and a te that is a recieving threat, need a corner for sure, a 3rd down back as perry is made of glass, and once again i want a kicker with a bigger leg than grahm, maybe brown.
so all said in done i think they will do it with the draft and lesser free agents, and the bengals are gonna look good.

Adding a player with the caliber of Freeney or Thomas would help any team (especially Thomas with his ability to play all 11 positions on Defense, literally). However, the Bengals have Justin Smith a certified run stopper and pass rusher at DE and Robert Geathers, a young DE who recorded 10.5 sacks last year. I think the main problem for the Bengals is that they can't keep their young talent out of trouble. That is a major distraction to the team and a turn off to football fans to see a player being arrested or suspended every week. It is comical.

A big-name free agent would eat up valuable salary cap space, and the Bengals need help in too many spots. Tory James got old overnight, Delthea O'Neal disappeared, and we can only assume that David Pollack and Odell Thurman are going to be gone. We have to draft help, and hope the incredible immaturity that's plaguing the team fades. I never thought I'd say this, but Marvin Lewis may very well be coaching for his job next season.

I think you should give open tryouts to the Parole Officers. That way they can keep tabs on the players and if they are any good they can make the team. You might find some good talent in one of them. Seriously I think if the team could pull itself togther and stop getting in trouble they have most of the things in place to go for it. Maybe try to drop the dead weight and find a good WR to REPLACE Henry. I don't care how good he is, players that keep getting in trouble with the law and league are actually distractions.

Start by keeping the roster off the police blotter.
