Ever consider a group called 'The Leaders' which only has members which are leaders ... in organizations this is called Managment.

I disagree, for the simple reason being that as a leader you would still be a 'member' of that group.

However, I agree with the mind-set in general because its this type of independant and unique thinking that can help that person to succeed to great heights.

The quote means; that any club that took him as a member, was an inferior club, because he was inferior. So a club with low enough standards to accept him, was beneath his application to said club. This is a quite clever saying, but you have to think about it for a while and it helps to have known Groucho Marx.

I think it means that he would not want to be a member if the club took him, because he's not good enough and if the club takes him then the club is not good enough either.
My only concern is that he seems to have high standards but low opinion of himself, so how can he want more than what he's willing to offer.

This is a quote from Groucho Marx. Taken at face value it means...I am such a rebel that any club that would take me can't be much of a club.
The deeper thoughts are that the speaker really wants to be a part of something but cannot, so therefore he castigates it.
A bit like the Non-conformist Club (think about it!). Rule One - there are no rules.
