would you stand by him, or let him go?

BTW, this is a totally random question, I am not now, nor have I ever been, in prison.

I'd stand by him as a friend, but over time someone else might take his place as partner.

Let him go. With no chance of parole, you could never be together again and I don't think occasional visits to the prison could satisfy your need for companionship.

it all depends. If my husband was going to jail because he took some ones life on purpose,I would have no problem what so ever and let him go because I would realise that the man I am married to I don't know at all,but if he was going to prison because he did some thing that was a complete accident,I really don't know what I would do.

I wouldn't even be with a man eligible for going to prison in the first place.

If he had done the act out of selflessness, and I totally believed in him I would have to say yes. If he had committed a calloused and senseless murder, then no. I would not want any of that on me.

I think if he knew that he was never getting out, he would probably want me to move on with my life and be happy and taken care of.

Let him go, he'll make new "significant others" in the big house. That way I could chase after you!!!

No. I don't like criminals. He would be history the minute he committed a crime worthy of life imprisonment.

he would have to go unless he is in prison because he killed someone who had harmed one of our children.
