First of all: the riddle as you have it written is incorrect. Written the correct way is: What is the third word in The English Language that ends in .... gry? Well, the answer to that is : LANGUAGE is the third word in -- the English Language phrase.
So, the answer to your question could only be possible if we used obsolete words to go with a third word to end in ....gry. I believe I have done this correctly. Have fun in word play!

while there are only two words that are commonly used there are other more obscure words that end in gry for details check out the website below :)
